Transport is one of the most polluting sectors in today's cities, therefore it is important to invest in good public transport. One could also promote cars, trains and busses that work on hydrogen fuel, although pure hydrogen doesn't occur in large amounts in nature, we have the possibility of using water and through the process of electrolysis we are able to separate hydrogen and oxygen. This would result in no greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore it would be effective if we could find a way of using filtered gray water (water that has been polluted during production) to power such vehicles.

Promoting the use of rental cars would reduce traffic congestion and pollution, due to cars. The introduction of regulations and limits in license plates can also reduce the number of cars on the streets. This has already been done in Beijing and Shanghai.

Encouraging walking and cycling would help people be more physically active, whilst at the same time sustainably reaching their destinations, this can be done by extending bike paths and creating bigger and better sidewalks.

There have also been developments in carbon capturing, for example, we are now able to take CO2 from the air and synthesise fuel out of it. This whole system is circular.
