Although we live on a blue planet not all water is available for our use, because we need freshwater and freshwater resources are limited on our earth.

We think that for the daily needs of humans we can use blue water (also known as groundwater) in moderation. Once used this water is used , it needs to be filtered and reintroduced into the environment, by letting it flow into lakes and rivers. For toilets one could use gray water (water that has been polluted during production) rather than blue water which is what we use for this at the moment. To water crops, it would be ideal to have green water (rain water), this would work especially well for rooftop gardens and rainwater could be collected for days where there is little precipitation to water the crops.
