Clean air, water and good nutrition are the basics, when living a healthy life, yet at the moment those three things are being neglected, polluted air, contaminated water and junk food have become the norm. Dirty air leads to cancer, heart disease and bronchitis.
To clean up our air we need many green spaces and trees. We need to put factories in areas that are not located close to residential areas and we also have to make sure that the factories filter and take care of their waste appropriately. Of course less traffic also leads to cleaner air, which again stresses the importance of public transport.
Moss has also shown itself to be very efficient in capturing carbon as well as particulates from the air. Due to this moss walls have been developed.

Moss walls like these are very efficient and can remove 240 metric tons of CO2 per year, as well as 250g of particulate matter per day. The problem is that these moss walls are often technologically advanced, they require complicated watering systems, thermometers and an internet connection and are therefore quite expensive. I propose that sphagnum moss, a type that needs little care and grows quickly, should be planted under trees for shade and moisture retention and also be planted in vertical gardens. Without complicated technology this moss could easily sustain itself with a little watering from home residents now and then.
